Pneumonia...
Well, after nearly 3 weeks of coughing I finally found out that I have "walking pneumonia." Apparently, it has been going around and I can look forward to another 3 weeks of coughing before I get over it. Its not too bad except right after I eat or drink something or when I lay down to go to bed at night. Then I tend to going into massive coughing fits. Well, at least I am no longer achey and tired all the time, except for the fact that my back hurts from all the coughing. I guess it could have been worse.
Not much new going on outside of that. I will be heading to Canada 'eh' in a couple of weeks for some fishing 'eh' and relaxing 'eh', and maybe trinking some Molson der 'eh', although I will probably bring my laptop with me and try and get some work done. Hopefully the fish will be biting and I will be too busy to think about work :). Also, I bungled up my ralley lights on my Jeep this weekend and now I have to get it into the dealership to get the housing replaced on it. It wasn't too bad. Just broke a chunk of the plastic off but the lights were left unharmed. Could have been worse. Well, I better head out.
Star Wars III
Well I got to see the new Star Wars movie today. My team at work took the afternoon to go see it on the IMAX. It was a cool movie from a special effects point of view and that it filled in the story line from the 3 movies that came out in the 70's and 80's. I wasn't too impressed with the acting but all in all I thought it was very entertaining. Since then I have been at home working through some more web building tutorials. I am finally starting to get somewhere with them and picking up some helpful hints. It should help me build some really good websites.
In other news, it looks like I may be finally taking a vacation in a couple of weeks and going to Canada for some fishing. Hopefully they are biting otherwise it could be a long week ;). But like they say, "a bad week fishing is still better than a good week at work."
Not much more to report. If you hadn't heard, Linda successfully defended her PhD dissertation on Monday and is now officially Dr. Linda Tuncay. So, congratulations to her. Long Time No Blog
Sorry, to all those who have been waiting for me to post something on my blog. It started out as laziness and a lack of information to write about and then turned into a week and a half stretch with the flu that I could not kick, and I still haven't gotten rid of the cough that developed from it. All I can say is coughing stinks. It keeps me up at night and makes my back hurt.
Outside of being sick I have just been busy at work. I did get a chance to travel to Cincinatti this weekend for my friends' Dan and Sarah's wedding. It was a great time, even if I wasn't feeling a 100%. I got to see a lot of my friends from grad school and it made me realize that I need to do a better job of keep track of my friends. So, get ready for vists to St. Joseph, MI and Toledo, OH gang! It was also nice to go to a wedding where you actually felt like the bride and groom belonged together and that they had a very good chance to make it. I have been to too many weddings where you find yourself thinking, "man, this is a mistake. I wonder how long it will last?" Not Dan and Sarah. They are two awesome people with a great network of family and friends.
Other than the wedding I have just been busy working and trying to get back into working out now that I am feeling good enough again. I will definitely try and do a better job of keep thing the blog updated in the future. Even if its just small random stuff. Thanks for sticking with me!
